In the Belgorod region, a second village was shelled over the past few hours, two people were injured, the head of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov said in his Telegram channel.
“I had to go on a business trip to Moscow, I was already getting on the train. The head of Zhuravlevka Anzhelika Vasilievna called. The shelling of the village began. I canceled my business trip, I'm staying in the region, — he wrote.
According to the governor, two wounded civilians are known so far: a man with a hand wound and a woman with a wound in the neck. Ambulances have already left for the village.
In addition, there is destruction of residential buildings, but their scale will be assessed later. Gladkov promised that the authorities would restore all affected facilities.
The village of Zhuravlevka is located in the south of the Belgorod region, less than 3km from the border with the Ukrainian Kharkiv region.
Earlier on Monday, Gladkov said that from the Ukrainian side, the village of Nekhoteevka was shelled. As a result, residential buildings and personal vehicles were damaged, the villagers were not injured.
Later, the governor clarified that four households and one car were damaged in Nekhoteevka, but the detour of the village continues. He also published photographs of damaged objects.
